Four Candles

Four Candles has carved out his own corner of progressive house by resisting the temptation to follow its prevailing trends. The UK producer, also known as Kris Brown, favours an exploratory approach, drawing on neighbouring genres to create music rich in atmosphere, emotion and unexpected detail. His breakthrough came in 2022 with the chart-topping Devious on Bedrock, beginning a fruitful relationship with the label alongside releases on Balance, Selador, Sudbeat and his own Keep Thinking Music imprint. His productions have attracted remixes from Hernán Cattáneo and Nick Muir, while John Digweed has become a consistent supporter, featuring his music on Transitions and the 2026 Live at Twilo compilation. Away from the studio, Four Candles has performed across Europe and South America, sharing the decks with Anthony Pappa and supporting Digweed, while his Leeds residency, b_sides social, reflects a commitment to the community at the heart of underground electronic music.
