Juan Buitrago

For Juan Buitrago, progressive house is as much about storytelling as it is about rhythm. The Colombian DJ and producer has developed a sound that balances warmth and precision, combining analogue hardware with digital production techniques to create richly layered, atmospheric compositions. His approach favours patient progression, intricate melodies and emotional depth, allowing each track to unfold with its own sense of purpose. Releases on respected labels including Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden, Balance Music, Paul Oakenfold’s Perfecto Records, Mango Alley, Juicebox Music and UV have earned him support from influential selectors including Guy J, Hernán Cattáneo, John Digweed and Eelke Kleijn. Rather than chasing fleeting trends, Buitrago continues to explore the more immersive and expressive corners of progressive house.
