A master of the slow burn...
A cornerstone of Argentina’s progressive house movement, Marcelo Vasami has been shaping the sound of the scene since 2007. Celebrated for his refined command of energy and atmosphere, he’s become synonymous with the art of the warm-up—that pivotal stretch where anticipation transforms into momentum. His sets unfold with patience and precision, weaving deep textures that ignite the dance floor without ever breaking its spell.
Across nearly two decades, Vasami has shared the booth with some of the world’s most revered artists, earning a reputation as a DJ whose craft lies in subtlety and flow rather than flash. As a producer, his catalogue is equally distinguished, featuring standout remixes of progressive classics such as Mooncat – “Hear What Was Said,” Freefall – “Skydive” (feat. Jan Johnston), and Nick Muir – “Savin’ You.”
Since 2019, Vasami has also forged a close creative partnership with Hernán Cattáneo, a collaboration that continues to expand Argentina’s progressive legacy—bridging the timeless with the new, and guiding listeners through the hypnotic spaces in between.
