Sahar Z brings three decades of underground experience to progressive house, combining hypnotic grooves, intricate rhythms and an exploratory approach to electronic music.
From the formative years to the international progressive house circuit, Sahar Z has spent three decades refining his instinct for dancefloor dynamics. Beginning his DJ career in 1996, he developed a musical identity shaped by everything from Kraftwerk and Giorgio Moroder to Pink Floyd and New Order. His productions have found a home on influential labels including Lost & Found, Bedrock, Sudbeat and Plattenbank. A longstanding creative partnership with Guy Mantzur produced the acclaimed Time album, while collaborations with Guy J led to the formation of Armadillo Records, an imprint dedicated to exploring more experimental and downtempo electronic sounds. With support from Sasha, John Digweed and Hernán Cattáneo, Sahar Z remains a distinctive presence in progressive house, equally committed to its underground roots and its more adventurous possibilities.
