Simply City

From Santiago’s formative rave scene to the revered DJ booth at Montreal’s Stereo, Simply City has spent more than three decades refining the art of progressive house storytelling. Born in Chile, César Romero developed his musical instincts through years of international touring before settling in Montreal, where his longstanding Stereo residency became central to his identity as a DJ. Known for patient, carefully constructed sets that favour atmosphere, emotional depth and gradual progression, he has shared the decks with John Digweed, Sasha, Guy J and Hernán Cattáneo. His close relationship with Cattáneo has extended into the studio, producing several Beatport Top 10 releases, while his catalogue spans Sudbeat, Renaissance and Balance Music. In 2026, he joined forces with Solis [US] for the Tisno EP, featuring two tracks first premiered during his Balance Croatia 2025 set. Rooted in the underground yet shaped by decades of international experience, Simply City continues to champion progressive house as a music of patience, connection and emotional resonance.
