OLING

For OLING, rhythm came long before the dancefloor. Growing up in the small Swedish town of Rättvik, the future producer found his musical footing behind a drum kit, absorbing everything from James Brown to In Flames before discovering Stockholm's electronic underground. Those early influences remain central to his sound, where intricate percussion meets emotive melodies and the driving energy of progressive house and melodic techno. His 2021 debut, Aves, on Jeremy Olander's Vivrant imprint introduced his distinctive approach, earning support from John Digweed, Hernán Cattáneo and Patrice Bäumel. Subsequent releases on Vivrant, Anjunadeep, Last Night On Earth and This Never Happened have expanded his reputation, while performances from London's Village Underground to Cairo Jazz Club have taken his music beyond Scandinavia. Whether through his productions or DJ sets, OLING continues to explore the relationship between rhythm, atmosphere and emotional release.
