Stereo Underground

Born in Haifa and based in Tel Aviv, Stereo Underground—the alias of Yariv Etzion—has carved a distinct place in the global electronic landscape with his hypnotic, otherworldly sound. A drummer turned producer, Yariv’s journey began in the rock scene before electronic music drew him toward the pulse of the dance floor. His early releases in 2009 quickly caught the attention of Mixmag and leading DJs worldwide, praised for their celestial textures and deep, transportive grooves.

Beyond the studio, Yariv co-founded BPM College, Israel’s leading music and production school, shaping a generation of emerging artists. He also became co-owner and resident at Tel Aviv’s iconic The Cat & Dog, performing alongside many of the world’s top DJs.

His debut album The Art of Silence, released on Balance Music in 2019, solidified his reputation as one of melodic techno’s most emotionally resonant voices—blending atmosphere, rhythm, and cosmic depth into music that truly sounds like it was born among the stars.
