Kasey Taylor

Kasey Taylor's place in Australian dance music history was forged on the dancefloors of Melbourne's underground clubs, where his instinct for musical progression caught the attention of John Digweed in the mid-1990s. Impressed by Taylor's warm-up set, Digweed invited him to play London's legendary Bedrock night, opening the door to an international career that would take him across Europe and beyond. In 1997, Taylor founded Vapour Recordings, an imprint that became synonymous with forward-thinking progressive house, championing artists including Guy J, Hernán Cattáneo, Jamie Stevens and Nick Warren. His own productions have appeared on Sudbeat, Bedrock, The Soundgarden and Balance Music, while his contribution to the influential Balance compilation series with Balance 002 remains a significant chapter in his career. Equally comfortable moving between deep house, progressive and techno, Taylor's reputation has been built on patient programming, musical versatility and an understanding of the dancefloor developed over decades behind the decks.
