Steve Parry

A lifelong servant of the scene...

Some DJs chase fame; others chase the perfect record. Steve Parry has spent more than 25 years doing the latter, quietly shaping the sound of progressive house while avoiding the spotlight it often brings.

A working DJ since the age of 15, Steve came up through Liverpool’s golden years, managing the legendary 3 Beat Records and holding down a three-year residency at Cream, where he refined his instinct for flow, tone, and timing. His long-running Red Zone radio show became essential listening for underground heads across the UK, a legacy he continues today with his Frisky Radio residency—still unearthing music that moves both body and mind.

Behind the scenes, Steve’s influence runs deep. As co-founder of Selador Recordings with Dave Seaman, he’s helped define a label that values quality over hype—releasing timeless records rather than chasing algorithms. Through SMP3 Music Management, he curates and sources music for DJs like Sasha and Sander Kleinenberg, ensuring that dancefloors around the world stay rich with substance.

A lifelong believer in the craft, Steve Parry embodies what keeps the underground alive: humility, taste, and a relentless devotion to the art of DJing.
